The mission of this role
True Vet Solutions is seeking a compassionate, organized, and veteran-focused Appeals Specialist to support veterans and their families in navigating VA disability claims. The Appeals Specialist serves as a trusted point of contact for veterans, helping them understand their options of denied and underrated claims, identifying errors, and drafting strong, persuasive appeal arguments.

The mission of this role
True Vet Solutions is seeking a compassionate, organized, and veteran-focused Appeals Specialist to support veterans and their families in navigating VA disability claims. The Appeals Specialist serves as a trusted point of contact for veterans, helping them understand their options of denied and underrated claims, identifying errors, and drafting strong, persuasive appeal arguments.
What you'll own
- Review VA Rating Decisions and C&P exams
- Draft Supplemental Claims and Higher-Level Reviews
- Analyze medical and service records
- Communicate with Veterans regarding evidence needs
- Maintain accurate case tracking and deadlines
Requirements
- Strong analytical and professional writing skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
- Utilize Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) efficiently.
- Chrome, Zoom, and Basic Internet skills.
- Ability to self-discipline and great time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPPA compliance.
- Quiet workspace to complete daily tasks.
- At least 5 years of sales experience.
- Preferred knowledge of VA disability claims and appeals.
- Preferred familiarity with secondary service connection claims.
- Preferred medical background and experience.
- Daily coaching and real skill development, you will be sharper in six months than you have ever been
